Why DJ Symart

  • 01

    200+ destination weddings

Around 70% of my weddings are for couples from abroad, mostly from the UK, the USA, Canada, Germany and Japan. I know what international guests expect from the night.

  • 02

    An English-speaking MC

Announcements, entrances, speeches and cues in fluent English (and Croatian), timed with your planner so nothing feels rushed.

  • 03

    Guests from many countries

The music follows what the two of you want, whether that is songs from every guest’s home country, one international party or a mix of both.

  • 04

    Planner-friendly

Over 90% of my weddings are organised with a wedding planner. I speak their language: timelines, run sheets, technical riders and clear communication.

  • 05

    The whole day, one person

Ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and party, plus welcome and day-after celebrations, with one person responsible for all the music.

  • 06

    110+ venues played

From Villa Dalmacija and Fort George to Villa Banac and Meneghetti. Knowing the venue means fewer surprises on the day.

Planning from abroad

What a destination wedding DJ in Croatia takes care of.

When you are planning a wedding from London, New York or Munich, you need suppliers you can trust without meeting them first. Here is how I make that easy.

Clear communication, in English

You get a proposal, a clear contract and a wedding questionnaire covering ceremony cues, entrances, first dance, speeches and timings. If you would like to talk first, we can schedule a video call. Couples often mention how organised and reassuring the process feels.

Music that works for every guest

Destination weddings bring together families and friends from different countries and generations. You share your must-play and do-not-play lists on Spotify. On the night, I play short sets for each part of the crowd and build them into one dance floor: disco and funk, pop and R&B classics, rock, dance anthems and current hits.

Logistics, handled with your planner

Croatian weddings often move between spaces and sometimes between islands. Ferries and boat transfers, power at outdoor venues, sound limits and curfews, set-up windows and weather plans are all agreed with your planner and the venue in advance, so on the day you do not have to think about any of it.

Sound that suits elegant venues

Discreet column speakers (FBT and LD Systems), wireless microphones for vows and speeches, and warm lighting that flatters the room and your photos. Additional sound zones can cover a ceremony by the sea or cocktails on a terrace.

More than one day

Many destination weddings in Croatia are long weekends: welcome drinks, the wedding day and a day-after beach party. I can play each part, so the music feels like one story from arrival to farewell.

The whole day

I can look after the whole day.

Destination weddings often start with an afternoon ceremony and end with a party well past midnight. I can do the sound and music for all of it, so your planner has one person to deal with instead of several.

  1. A wedding ceremony under a floral arch at Fort George on Vis
    01Afternoon

    Ceremony

Music for your entrance and exit, and wireless microphones so every vow is heard, even outdoors by the sea.

  2. Wedding guests with drinks on a terrace above the hills near Dubrovnik
    02Sunset

    Cocktail hour

Easy background music while guests get a drink and say hello. A good time for live sax or violin.

  3. The courtyard of Villa Dalmacija in Split lit up for a wedding dinner at night
    03Dusk

    Dinner

Music quiet enough to talk over. I run the microphone for speeches and toasts and time them with your planner.

  4. A bride dancing and singing with her guests at a wedding party at Konoba Kamen
    04Night

    The party

First dance, then a mix of everything your guests will dance to, until the venue says stop.

  5. DJ Symart playing an afternoon set in the garden of Villa Poropati
    05The day after

    Welcome & after

Welcome drinks, a rehearsal dinner or a beach party the day after. Plenty of destination weddings last two or three days.

FAQ

Destination wedding DJ: your questions

How much does a destination wedding DJ in Croatia cost?

Destination wedding DJ services typically start from €1,300, depending on the location, the length of the day and the production you need. Every wedding gets its own proposal, so get in touch with your date and venue.

Do you travel across Croatia and to the islands?

Yes. I play weddings all along the coast and on the islands, including Split, Hvar, Vis, Brač, Šolta, Dubrovnik, Istria and Zagreb. Travel and logistics, including ferries and boat transfers, are planned together with your planner and included in the proposal.

Do you speak English and act as the MC?

Yes. I work in English and Croatian and can host the evening as your MC: announcements, entrances, speeches and cues, all timed with your planner.

Our guests come from different countries. How do you handle the music?

That is what I do most weekends. Around 70% of my weddings are international. I follow what the two of you want: some couples ask for songs from each guest’s home country, others for one international party all night. We plan it together beforehand, and on the night I adjust to the room.

Can we choose the music?

Of course. You share Spotify playlists with must-play and do-not-play songs. I respect your list, read the room on the night and, if I feel a different direction would work better, I ask you first.

Do you play every music genre?

My style is international open format: disco, funk, soul, pop classics, R&B, rock, dance and house, plus current hits. Balkan folk and turbo-folk are not part of my repertoire.

Do you work with wedding planners?

Over 90% of my weddings are organised with a wedding planner. I coordinate timings, cues and technical details directly with your planner, venue, photographer and other vendors.

Can you also play the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner?

Yes. I can provide sound and music for the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, with separate sound zones where the venue needs them. These are added to your proposal.

Can you play our welcome party or day-after celebration?

Yes, happily. Many destination weddings are multi-day celebrations, and a welcome party or day-after beach party can be added to the same booking.

How far in advance should we book?

Most couples book one to two seasons ahead, as peak weekends fill up early. If your date is closer, just ask. It may still be free.

Is your date still free?

Send me your date and venue. I reply myself, with availability and a proposal.
